Scotsman Announces Director, Healthcare Sales
VERNON HILLS, Ill.— July 18, 2011 — Scotsman Ice Systems, has named Alex Carayannopoulos, Director, Healthcare Sales based in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Carayannopoulos brings more than twenty-five years experience in healthcare and foodservice industries and will focus his efforts on the sale of Scotsman’s commercial ice makers and TouchFree® ice dispensing machines, including the soft chewable nugget and flake a favorite for patient care in hospitals and healthcare-related facilities.
Carayannopoulos joins Scotsman from Plymold, a division of Foldcraft Company where he was Division Sales Director for Foodservice; he cultivated long-lasting relationships with healthcare organizations and commercial foodservice equipment dealers.
“Carayannopoulos’ leadership and proven industry experience have prepared him to expand our market share in healthcare” said Denis Griesmer, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Scotsman, “his years as Vice President of Sales at Lakeside Geneva Manufacturing and The Brewer Company, will serve us well in our sales collaboration with hospitals, assisted living and healthcare affiliated companies.”
Carayannopoulos has worked with leading healthcare organizations including Premier, HealthCare Purchasing Partners International, SSM Health Care, Aurora Health Care and Health Services Corporation of America acquired by MedAssets. Carayannopoulos is an active member of the American Society of Healthcare Foodservice Administrators, Healthcare Manufacturer's Marketing Council, and the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM). Carayannopoulos maintains NAFEM’s Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP)
