Scotsman Ice Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., is celebrating its 14th year of business activity in China, one of the first companies to offer locally made ice machines. “We manufactured the first Scotsman ice machine in Shenyang in December 1995,” commented Emanuele Lanzani, Chairman of the Board.

The current structure has sales, administration and service based in Shanghai, with manufacturing and technical departments located in Jaiding. “Scotsman Shanghai has recently added a new cuber line” said Andrew Clayton, Managing Director, and added “ this a line that makes extensive use of quality proven locally made components.”

Thanks to the broad product range offered (self-contained and modular cubers, self-contained and modular flakers, ice dispensers and scale ice machines), Scotsman Shanghai is expanding its presence in all market segments including exports to other Asian countries and to Europe

“Asia is an extremely important market for us” said Dave McCulloch, Chairman & CEO of Scotsman Industries, Inc. “We plan to invest in our China operation to expand even further our presence in this high growth market”.
