Scotsman
Espana, a subsidiary of Frimont SpA , was formed to support
Scotsman’s strong market share and expected growth in the
Spanish market effective July 1, 2009.
Scotsman will be
able to offer enhanced commercial and technical support
to customers throughout the Spanish market, whether foodservice
equipment manufacturers looking to complete their equipment
offerings, existing dealers, hotels , quick service restaurants
, foodretail chains, pre-packed ice cube factories and
industrial applications.
Commenting on the new subsidiary
company, Mr Emanuele Lanzani, Managing Director of Frimont
SpA, said, “This investment marks an important chapter
in Scotsman Ice Systems’ ongoing commitment to the Spanish
market where we have been trading for 40 years. With a
strong local presence, there are many opportunities for
Scotsman to assist companies that are striving to raise
quality standards and specialisation in all aspects of
ice usage, including end-user companies which historically
have been loyal to our brand and deserve the benefits offered
by our direct support.”
Scotsman Espana is based in the
Industrial Zone “Ventorro del Cano”, in Alcorcon, just
outside of Madrid.
The expertise within the office is assured
by highly qualified personnel, who have extensive experience
of the Spanish ice machines market. Heading up the Scotsman
operations in Spain is Mr. Daniel Doblado, General Manager
at Scotsman Espana. With an ice machines industry related
experience of over 30 years, Mr. Doblado has helped position
Scotsman products with some of Spain’s leading foodservice
companies.
