Scotsman Industries Announces New Vice President of Quality

VERNON HILLS, Ill.—Aug. 12, 2010—Today Scotsman Industries, the largest commercial ice machine company in the world, announced the appointment of Brian Bristol to vice president of quality. Bristol will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in new product development, supplier quality, manufacturing processes and warranty.

“This new position has been created to advance Scotsman Industries as the world’s largest and best manufacturer of commercial ice machines,” said Kevin Fink, group managing director, Americas, at Scotsman Industries. “Brian brings extensive experience in lean enterprise and total quality management.”

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a master’s degree in applied statistics, Bristol is a Six-Sigma Master Black Belt. Prior to his position at Scotsman, he served as the vice president of quality for the Lancer Corporation, a beverage dispensing systems manufacturer.
