VERNON HILLS, Ill. – March 17, 2010 – Scotsman Ice Systems, the premier innovator of energy-efficient ice technology, has been recognized by the Food Consultants Society International (FCSI) for product innovation. The Scotsman Prodigy® Nugget is included on FCSI’s “10 Most Innovative Products for 2010” list and is in the running to be named FCSI’s “Product of the Year” based on voting at the FCSI conference in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 18-20.

The Scotsman Prodigy Nugget unites two of the company’s most popular products: Nugget Ice, The Original Chewable IceTM, and the advanced technology of the Prodigy line. Prodigy Nugget ice machines are highly efficient, using up to 50 percent less water and 15 percent less energy than cubed ice machines.

Prodigy machines are some of the most reliable, foolproof ice makers on the market today.
