EXPANDS PRODIGY LINE
VERNON HILLS, Ill.—
Scotsman Ice Systems, the premier innovator of energy-efficient
ice technology, welcomes the new Prodigy® Nugget and Prodigy®
Flaker to its industry-leading Prodigy® family of ice machines.
The new Prodigy Nugget model unites
two of the company’s most popular products: Nugget Ice,
The Original Chewable IceTM, and the advanced technology
of the Prodigy® line of ice machines.
Known for their advanced technology
and self-monitoring systems, Prodigy® models offer operators
up-to-the-minute reporting on the machine’s performance,
as well as maintenance needs; features built-in to minimize
operator downtime.
Nugget
or The Original Chewable IceTM Ice was created by Scotsman
in 1981. Its innovative shape and soft, chewable form make
it a favorite for all types of beverages. The ice displaces
more liquid than cubed ice, lowering syrup costs per cup.
Prodigy® Nugget Ice Machines are also highly efficient,
using up to 50 percent less water and 17 percent less energy
than cube ice machines. Good news not only in terms of
conservation, but for the bottom line as well.
Flake
ice is used extensively for fresh food displays, food preparation
and in the health care industry. Scotsman Ice Systems is
the market leader in the flake ice category.
