shifts Los Angeles branch to local independent ice machine
distributors
VERNON HILLS, Ill.— Mark McClanahan,
president Scotsman Ice Systems (Americas) has announced
the closing of the company’s Los Angeles branch effective
September 30, 2009; shifting sales and distribution to
two experienced local independent ice machine distribution
companies.
W. Myers Inc. has been appointed the
new Scotsman distribution partner for California and Nevada.
Myers, an ice distributor since 1996, has extensive relationships
with chains, consultants, dealers and service agents.
American Refrigeration Supplies
has been appointed the new Scotsman distribution partner
for Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. ARS is an experienced
refrigeration products distributor with 15 locations and
will work with Total Source Reps to cover the foodservice
channel.
Both
appointments are effective October 1, 2009.
In a follow-up
statement, Jim Weaks, VP Sales and Marketing for Scotsman
Ice Systems said “we are pleased to welcome these two experienced
distribution partners to the Scotsman team, both of which
bring in-depth local market knowledge to our customers”.
